Obituary Yolanda D. Schmidt "Lonnie" 1/9/1925 ?" 5/4/2009 Lonnie was born in Tacoma, WA to Dominick & Mary Petrecca Liberty. She attended Aquinas and Stadium high schools. Lonnie retired in 1990 after more than 45 years as a waitress at The California Oyster House, The Towers, Empress Gardens & Harbor Lights restaurants. She was preceded in death in 2005 by her husband Bill of 58 years and her brother James Liberty. Lonnie was always looking forward to her next bingo game, card game or casino trip and activities at the VFW. She was a member of the VFW #969 Ladies Auxiliary. Lonnie will be fondly remembered by her son & daughter-in-law, Frank & RosaLee Schmidt, daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Dave Hofner, her four grandchildren, Kim Kawachi, Frank Schmidt II, Adam Hofner, Hailey Hofner and six great grandchildren: Bridgett, Tatiana, Brandon & Jordan Kawachi, Frank III and Kallie Schmidt. At Lonnie's request private family services have been held. Her final place of rest is Tacoma Mausoleum.
