Obituary On a stormy, rainy November morning, at the age of 66, the heavens welcomed William (Bill) Wynkoop with open arms. Bill was born February 21, 1945 and died at St Claire's Hospital on November 22, 2011 after a tough battle with a terminal lung disease. Bill was born in Norfolk, Virgina, the first boy in a family of 8 children. Bill's father was a Navy engineer and his family lived in various places until Bill was ten, when they moved to the Pacific Northwest. A star basketball player at Bellarmine Prep., Bill earned an athletic scholarship and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Economics. Bill worked hard to start and develop his own real estate company and was proud to operate and build this successful business. Bill and his wife Carol, his best friend and partner in everything, loved golfing in both the Northwest and under the sunny skies of Arizona. They also cherished their time together on their boat, cruising around the Puget Sound. Bill and Carol thoroughly enjoyed the springtime and fall in Arizona and Bill loved to visit with everyone they met there. To everyone who knew him, Bill was warm and generous of spirit. Bill is survived by his wife, Carol, his sons, Peter and Michael, and daughters-in-law, Christi and Natashia, 6 step-children, 7 siblings, 4 grand-children, and 15 step-grand children. Bill's memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17th at Bellarmine Prep at 11:00 AM in the Bellarmine Chapel.
