William Austin Stricklen

Obituary William Austin Stricklen III passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 14th, 2010 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Helena Stricklen and daughter Stephanie Stricklen and his other children Grace Kenchiova, Anita Garrett, and son William Austin Stricklen IV. He always carried photos of his 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren, proudly showing his many friends. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, serving two tours in Vietnam and eventually becoming a Lieutenant Colonel. An avid fisherman and hunter, Bill, as he was known to his family and friends, took tremendous enjoyment in the great outdoors. Funeral services are October 30th at 1pm at the Gaffney Funeral Home.
