William T. Meucci

February 25, 1922 — October 5, 2015

Obituary William T. Meucci Dad was born on February 25, 1922 in Tacoma, WA to Attilo and Novelia Meucci, and died on October 5, 2015. Dad graduated from Bellarmine in 1940 and was a Navy veteran. He retired with more than 30 years of service as a longshoreman, clerk, and supervisor. It was a job he loved and where he made lifelong friendships. Dad was a hard worker and proudly provided for his family. His last few months were very difficult for him, but he fought the good fight. Dad and Mom enjoyed 66 years of marriage together. He always said the best day of his life was the day he married Mom. He missed her greatly and I know he was happy to be reunited with her. Dad was preceded in death by the love of his life, Margurite (Marg) on December 7, 2012; his mother and father; his brother, Bob; and many family members and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Lauralee Laramore (Lennie); and granddaughters, Laura and Krista, who he was so proud of. He was pleased that they were both Bellarmine graduates. Also surviving Dad is his brother (bro), Al Meucci, who was very supportive especially during Dad's final months. Also, a niece and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Dad leaves behind his dog Molly (15) who took good care of him. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00pm at Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Jerry Graham, S.J. of Bellarmine will be officiating. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003.
