William Emerson Kline

July 8, 1917 — May 26, 2009

Obituary William E. Kline Bill, as he was generally known passed away May 26th following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Ann, his parents, brother and sister. He will be remembered as the "milkman" serving many homes and small grocery stores throughout the greater Tacoma area. His retirement years were devoted to travel in the continental U.S., Europe, the Hawaii Islands and wintering in Phoenix. He was always readily available to render assistance to those in need and enjoyed producing a great landscaped area surrounding his home of which his friends and neighbors enjoyed his efforts. For the last year and a half Bill made his home at the Weatherly Inn, Tacoma. He made many new friends, kept busy with all the activities, ate like a king and was cared for by their wonderful staff in beautiful surroundings. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Weatherly Inn. We would like to thank the Franciscan Hospice staff for their very special help and caring in his final days. What a great organization they are. Bill's survivors include son Ron (Bernadette) of Puyallup, granddaughter Stacie (Ed) Lacina of Sammamish and great granddaughters Maddie and Abbie. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Franciscan Hospice & Palliative Care, PO Box 1502 Tacoma, WA 98401. Funeral service will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave. Tacoma, WA, 98405 Monday, June 1, 2009 at 12:00 pm. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com . Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003
