Obituary Bill (91) died November 13, 2007. He was born October 6, 1916, in Mandan, ND, moving to Tacoma at a young age. He attended Visitation Grade School and then Bellarnine Prep, where he lettered in basketball and baseball. He was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where he spent many years as a volunteer. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, gardening and was an avid reader. He was the last member of his family, which included 1 sister and 4 brothers, who all lived in Tacoma. Over the years he had many friends because his humor, genuine regard for others and many interests made him a pleasure to be with. Bill was always termed a "nice" guy and he will be missed by many. His positive attitude and friendliness served him well in business and person relationships. His now deceased wife (Kay, the love of his life) were married for 60 years and he is survived by his son Bill and daughter Claudia, and has 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Members of his family now live in Tacoma, Seattle, San Francisco, Paris, Barcelona and the South of France. Services are November 23, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4520 McKinley Ave 98404. Rosary 10:30 am; Mass 11am; Reception in the church hall and graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul c/o Sacred Heart Church.
