William Burkhouse

Obituary William Joseph Burkhouse died February 10, 2007 after complications from surgery. Bill was born August 19, 1922 in New York City. He grew up in Tacoma where he attended St. Patrick's Elementary and Bellarmine High School, graduating from Stadium High School. Bill proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and went on to a career of over 20 years as a Flight Engineer with United Airlines. Bill spent most of his adult life living in California and was living in Santa Rosa when he passed. Bill is survived by Dawne A. Burkhouse and their 4 sons, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. The visitation and rosary will be 7:00 pm Sunday, February 18 2007 at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 South Yakima Avenue, Tacoma, WA. The funeral services will be held 9:00 am Monday, February 19 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 7112 South 12th Street, Tacoma. The family requests contributions be made in the name of William Joseph Burkhouse to the Carmelite Sisters of Seattle, Carmelite Monastery, 2215 NE, 147th Street, Seattle, WA 98155.
