William Borda

Obituary Bill was born in Tacoma on October 17, 1942; he died January 27, 2013. He graduated from Stadium High School and Bremerton Community College (Liberal Arts). Bill's favorite job was Purser for Northwest Airlines. He loved travelling worldwide, especially the Orient. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees, the Beatles, classic Thunderbirds and MG's. Bill was a member of St. Rita's Church, serving as Altar Boy and teaching cousin David Marzano and nephews James and Richard, now a Deacon in the church. He served in the Army Reserve and was a member of the Tacoma Elks and Sons and Daughters of Italy. Bill was a blood donor for many years and an eye donor at the end of his life. Bill is survived by: brother, Louis; sister, Dolores; nieces, Rosalie and Marianne Zeck (Joe); nephews, Richard (Mary Lynn), James, Thomas (Carol), John (Becky); 13 great nieces and nephews; a great-great-nephew, a great-great-niece and many cousins, particularly Joe Munizza, a lifelong best friend who was invaluable during Bill's illness. He also has many dear friends. He cherished them all. The family would like to thank the staff at Tacoma General Hospital for their tireless and compassionate care. Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 7:00 PM and Funeral Mass celebrated Monday, February 4, 2013 at 10:30 AM both at St. Rita's Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
