Wilbert John Hughes

Obituary Wilbert (Bill) Hughes, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, began his new life in heaven on Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born in Southworth, Washington on December 4, 1935 and graduated from South Kitsap high school. He was preceded in death by his wife Marla Hughes. Bill is survived by his children Kathleen Hughes-Oliver (Rob), Teresa Slosar (Paul) and Bill Hughes (Pam); six granddaughters and one grandson; and 11 great grandchildren. He enjoyed working in the telephone engineering field, playing golf and cards, model boat building and Sudoku. Bill leaves behind a large family and many friends that love him and will miss him deeply. No memorial service is planned. The family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to Franciscan Hospice House of Tacoma. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home
