Vivian Pacsmag Adams

July 8, 1918 — February 25, 2015

Obituary Vivian Pacsmag Adams 7/8/1918 - 2/25/2015   Vivian was born to John and Sylvia (Hanna) Pacsmag in Tacoma, Washington, where she passed on sweetly and at great peace at the age of 96. She graduated Puyallup High with the class of 1937, then attended Santa Monica Junior College. In 1940, she returned to Puyallup to marry her high school sweetheart, James Ketner Adams, Sr. They kept each other smiling and dancing for years, and greatly enjoyed weekends and summers with their children at the ocean, Hood Canal and on Fox Island at Ketner's Point. Vivian was widowed in 1967, continued to care for her children, bravely re-entered the workforce caring for the elderly, and continued working until she was 80. She was loved for her welcoming, generous way: ever kind, ever giving, ever sharing and remembering. She and her delightful sense of humor will be deeply missed by those who survive her: daughters, Kathleen (Kevin) Loyd and Jane (Ed) Salscheider; son, James Ketner Adams, Jr.; sister, Ivy Collier; dear school chums, Dorothy Martin Gamaunt and Annie Bogati Brown; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Deepest thanks to loving caregivers: Ronald, Agnes, and Jennifer. No words can convey the positive and loving impact she had on all those she met. She cared for them all. Private family services will be held. Remembrances may be made to St. Leo Food Connection or the charity of your choice. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home, 253-572-6003.
