Obituary Virginia M. Holmes Virginia M. Holmes (Marchio) was born on January 31, 1917. Her parents were Michael and Maria Marchio. She was first generation to this country. Virginia was a proud 1936 graduate of Stadium High School and a member of St. Rita's church. Mom survived all of her siblings; however, she never stopped glorifying precious moments growing up with them. She loved to pick berries, make jams, pies, and read cookbooks in her spare time. She was retired from Dalgety Foods in Puyallup and spent the last thirty years enjoying her family, drives in the country, and sitting in her backyard on warm summer nights reveling the flowers and fruit trees in her yard, which she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karla Holmes. Her loving husband Gerald of sixty years and her daughters Cindy Marcheselli and Geriann Holmes Marchio, (Richard Harlan) would like to thank many family members, extended family and several friends for your support over the past six months. She would be proud of you too. Her grandchildren Heather, Brandon, Karla, Brittney, Naish, Maya, and Lakeyn bid her a fond farewell and thank her for her unconditional love and never ending acts of giving and kindness. We will miss you mom, grandma, wife, and celebrate not the day of your death (12-25-2007), but instead your birth and honor that you were our mother and friend. In spite of unimagined fate, you are free now to celebrate "truth" as we celebrate you! Happy Birthday! Sleep, sleep, sweet Virginia You're surely going to be missed A wife, a mother, a grandmother There was no other, like this! We did not get to say good-bye Like most loved ones do I pray this didn't make you cry or wonder why, Because you know we all loved you. Please leave online condolences at www.GaffneyCares.com.
