Victoria Mathilda Peterson

October 12, 1918 — June 15, 2011

Obituary Veda passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on June 15. She was born on October 12, 1918 in Tacoma, WA to Frank Baron and Frances Karwaski. Over the years, Veda worked at Packard Bell, Harmons Furniture, Bumble Bee Cannery in Astoria during WWII, The Puyallup Fair and Music Bingo. She enjoyed bingo, her angel collection and the slot machines. The highlight of her life was riding on a float in the daffodil parade. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Pete; sister, Doris Campbell; and brother Frank Baron. She was the beloved mother of daughters Karen Ehlbeck (Jim) and Brenda Kelley (Tom), and she is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many friends from Kings Manor Retirement Community.
