Obituary Vernon J. Frett Vernon J. Frett, 73, died October 27, 2008 in Tacoma. He was born in Chicago, IL and was a longtime Tacoma resident. Vern was an Army veteran of the of the Korean War, and retired from The Hygrade Company. In retirement Vern cooked in many places throughout Tacoma, but especially enjoyed cooking for Nativity House and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Vern is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janet; children, Skip (Kathy), Patricia, Dennis (Kelly), and Joseph Frett; grandchildren, Nicole, Jennifer, Mathew, Hillary, and Allison Frett; great-grandchildren, Saij O'Neil and Ethan Frett Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 11:00 am St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
