Venka Bacica

Born December 28, 1926 in Luka, Dugi Otok, Croatia. Venka passed away on November 27, 2022 peacefully at home after a brief illness. Venka left Croatia in 1956 and lived in Italy, Colombia, and Canada before settling in University Place in 1971. Venka was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Slavonian American Benevolent Society.

She is preceded in death by her husband Danko of 60 years. She is survived by brothers Ivica of Vancouver, Canada and Angelo and Goyko of San Pedro, CA; son Ivan (Sarah), daughters Liliana (Victor) Samuelson, and Diane (Dave) Bacica Bolf; grandchildren: Karina (Chris) Busch, Karlo (Marissa) Bacica, Marisa (Minh) Samuelson; and great grandchildren Gavin and Victoria.

Rosary will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 5:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel; and entombment on December 6, 2022 for the family at Calvary Cemetery.
