Tracie Lynn Habersetzer

August 4, 1959 — September 30, 2023

Tracie Lynn Habersetzer was born in Tacoma, WA on August 4, 1959, to Gary and Sally Johnson. She grew up with her two sisters Debbie and Lorrie and attended Bellarmine Preparatory School where she was a cheerleader for the Lions. Tracie graduated in 1978 and attended Washington State University.
On March 20, 1982, Tracie married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Frank Habersetzer. Together they spent their life in Tacoma and raised two children, Joshua and Jennifer. Tracie was a bookkeeper for over 25 years for lifelong friend, Dr. Beth O'Connor and Dr. Ross Drangsholt.
Tracie was a loving wife, mother, gamma, sister, and auntie who loved all things centered around her family. She loved taking walks at Chambers Bay, hosting family dinners, hiking with her husband Joe, and taking trips with her family. Tracie truly took the teachings of her mother, Sally to heart and was always the hostess with the most. No matter the day, she always had appetizers on hand for guests and favorite drinks ready in the fridge for all family members. Tracie was selfless, kind-hearted, and would do anything to help someone in need. She enjoyed spoiling her granddaughters and sharing photos of them with anyone who would give her the chance.
Tracie will be deeply missed by her friends and family: husband Joe Habersetzer, son Josh Habersetzer (Laura), daughter Jennie Schwartzer (Zac), and her 3 granddaughters Brynnlee Moore (13), Rylie Schwartzer (3), Saylor Schwartzer (1) and her 4th granddaughter soon to arrive in January. Tracie is also survived by her 2 sisters Debbie McEntee (Dave) and Lorrie Bordeaux (Tim), her parents-in-law Tom and Pat Habersetzer, brother-in-law Jeff Habersetzer (Elizabeth), and sister-in-law Susan Habersetzer.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any charitable donations be made in the name of Tracie Habersetzer to Bellarmine Preparatory School.
