Obituary Thomas Rollan Sauriol Tom passed away peacefully September 6, 2005 surrounded by his family; he was 78. He was born January 7, 1927 in Chehalis, Washington to Marguerite and Alfonse Sauriol. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jeanine with whom he enjoyed 48 years of his life, and his eldest son Tommy. Tom is survived by his wife Katherine of six wonderful years, his eight children: Edward (Cindy), David (Judy) Kenny, Gary, Nancy (Walter) Lambert, Bill (Christina), Patricia (Daniel) McCabe, Mary Jo (Keith) Underwood, and four stepchildren Dave (Joni) Dupille, Mary (Larry) Hoffman, Mike (Mindi) Dupille, Tom (Kris) Dupille, brother Al (June) Sauriol, 28 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Tom graduated from Visitation School, Bellarmine Prep, St. Martin's College and Gonzaga Law School. He practiced law in Tacoma for 25 years, was appointed Superior Court Judge in Pierce County, and served on the bench for 19 years. He was a member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Tacoma Elks, Puyallup Eagles, Serra Club, Tacoma Country and Golf Club, and attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. Tom was an avid fisherman and golfer and enjoyed his many travels around the world. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather with a very giving and kind spirit. Tom will be missed by those lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Senior Ministries of St. Patrick's Parish. Vigil service will be held 7:00pm Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am Friday, September 9, 2005 at Holy Cross Church for St. Patrick's.
