Obituary THEODORE (TED) MARTIN MORRISETTE Theodore Martin Morrisette went home to his Heavenly Father on July 19th 2018 at the age of 77. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Marylou Keen, Rosalie Waite, Joan Flothe and Marguerite Schlumpf. Theodore leaves his daughter, Jennifer Morrisette Lingafelter (Chris Lingafelter) of Puyallup, WA and two grandchildren, Morgan and Casey. Ted was born in Butte, Montana on August 14th, 1940 to Martin Morrisette and Agnes (Stefanac) Morrisette. Ted later moved to Tacoma with his parents and four siblings. He attended grade school in Fife and Tacoma, Jason Lee Middle School and graduated from Wilson High School in 1959. Ted joined the Navy shortly after graduation and was stationed primarily in Kodiak, Alaska until 1961. Ted worked at Allied Pre-Hung Door Company in Fife upon return from his service in the Navy and eventually began working for the Game and Fisheries Department (WA Department of Fish and Wildlife) located in Lakewood. Ted also worked for Northwestern Drug in Auburn, WA, the Tacoma News Tribune and finished out his working career with the Pierce County Health Department as a courier, loved by all his co-workers, retiring in 2005. Ted was an avid fisherman and spent many happy hours fishing with friends and family in local rivers, lakes and our Puget Sound. He had a deep faith and love for the Lord. Ted will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Ted was the life of every gathering and is well known for his own language we affectionately call "Ted-ism's". He will be most remembered for his unconditional and deep love for his family, his love of life and of the Lord. A private family ceremony will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Additionally a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Puyallup Nazarene Church on Thursday, August 30th at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend. A small reception is planned following the ceremony. A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff and administration at Heartwood Extended Healthcare in Tacoma for their kindness and gentle care of Ted in his last days. Arrangements by Gaffney Funeral Home
