Theodore Nick Boskovich

Obituary Ted N. Boskovich, Jr. 2/6/1952 to 9/10/2010 Ted was born February 6, 1952 in Tacoma, WA . he grew up in historic Old Town, attended St. Patrick's School and Bellarmine Prep. Ted graduated Cum Laude in Marketing from Washington State University, where he met his future wife Rondi the day before registration in their freshman year. Ted went to work in the building trades joining the Heat and Frost Insulators Union Local 7, where he eventually served the members for over 20 years in many leadership positions including Business Agent, Business Manager and as Vice President of the Western States Conference. He served on many boards in the labor community. Nobody was more committed to his members and to the ongoing struggles of the labor movement. Ted had many interests. He loved British sports cars. He began vintage racing in 1989; first with his Austin Healey, then with his 1959 Lotus 18 Formula Jr. He was a founding member of SOVREN. He enjoyed working in his yard where he and Rondi converted their spacious garden from lawn to Puget Sound native landscape. He always had several large ongoing projects on his 1905 four square home. He could fix or build anything. Ted is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rondi (Bjorseth), his mother Mary Boskovich, brother Bill, sister Ann Boskovich and her husband Rory Elliott. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 1001 North J St. Tacoma, WA, 98403 on Friday, September 17th at 11:00 am. Following the service will be a luncheon in the church hall. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to www.pancan.org (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), or to www.foodconnection.org (Tacoma Food Connection).
