Obituary Theodore F. Barkley Beloved Husband, Father and Grandpa Born February 21, 1927 "Grandpa Ted" passed away peacefully in his sleep April 13, 2008 at the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tacoma. Ted served honorably in the Navy during World War II and moved to Tacoma from Fort Pierre South Dakota where he met Anne, the love of his life and partner for fifty-four years. He retired from the Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company following thirty-five years of service. He is survived by his wife Anne, his sons Dan and wife Jill, Ken, Bob and wife Kimberly and five grand children and eight great grand children. Ted will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity and his wonderful sense of humor. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center at Tacoma General Hospital and the staff of the Evergreen Health and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care they provided during our father's illness. A private graveside service will be held April 19th at 10:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery for family and friends with a reception following at the Barkley residence.
