Obituary Sylvia K. Davis Sylvia K. Davis, loving wife, mother and "Nunna" died June 3, 2007 after a long illness at the age of 79. Born on December 31, 1927 in Bellingham, WA to Paul and Antonette Kink, she was the fourth in a family of five and all her brothers and sisters predeceased her. Sylvia was a longtime resident of Fircrest, and a pioneer member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was a member of the Slavonian Lodge (S.A.B.S.), bowled on the same team for more than 30 years and was an avid sports fan. Every month she met with her "lunch bunch", classmates from her 1945 graduating class of St. Leo's High School. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles; children, Cathy, Steve and Jeff; a special daughter in law, Julie; a wonderful son in law, Homer; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 8, 2007, 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with a reception to follow. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 7, 2007, 7:00 pm in the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
