Susan Doleen Gardner

Susan, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend passed away unexpectedly at home on May 2, 2024.

She is survived by six siblings, Mary Adair, Malcolm Gardner (Linda), Michael Gardner, Kathleen Purdy (Rick), Denis Gardner (Terry), and Kelly Gardner, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Susan is preceded in death by her parents and her brother James.

She was deeply loved by so many people. Her sharp intelligence, generous acceptance of others, quick humor, and kind spirit were the essence of who she was. Her quiet compassion and gentleness affected more people than we will ever know. She was empathetic, thoughtful, and had a way with words. She often said exactly what you needed to hear in the most crucial moments.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at Gaffney Funeral Home on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12 noon.
