Obituary Fr. Stephan Richard Phillips, SGS April 9, 1959 - March 22, 2015 Father Stephan Phillips was born on April 9, 1959 to Jon and Bonnie Phillips in Tacoma, Washington. Fr. Stephan was pastor of Holy Angels Orthodox Catholic Church in Tacoma. Father Stephan served in the United States Coast Guard and Marines. He was an avid guitarist and singer where he played in country-western bands in the Tacoma area. He also helped work his way through college as a street performer on Pier 39 in San Francisco. He was preceded in death by his father, Jon Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Brogan; seven siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Friday, April 10, between 12-5pm at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 S. Yakima Ave, Tacoma. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home.
