Obituary Stanley Joseph Kostecka Stanley Joseph Kostecka, a wonderful model of a man, a father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in Tacoma, Washington from a stroke. Stanley was born on April 26, 1917, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Joseph and Nettie Prokes Kostecka who homesteaded in Box Elder, Montana. On November 4, 1940, he married Corinne Addleman at St. Jude Catholic Church in Havre, Montana. He served in the Army of the United States from 1942 until 1945, and then joined the Air Force Reserves from 1945 until 1948. Their daughter Claudia was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1944. After the war, the family moved to Helena, Montana, where Stanley worked at the Veterans Administration and later with the Federal Housing Administration which became HUD. The family moved to Orange, California, in 1963, and he eventually became Chief of Mortgage Credit with FHA. He is remembered as a brilliant, very sincere, warm-hearted, and accepting person who welcomed everyone into his life. His love for his family and his friends will always be remembered. Stanley is survived by his daughter Claudia Marston, his son-in-law Robert, his four grandchildren and their wives and husband (Rob and Kara, Christopher and Daniell, Michael and Kressent, and Jennifer and RW Howe) and 5 great grandchildren (Dylan, Karys and Haley, Hunter and Heather). Stanley was predeceased by his wife Corinne in 2003. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, N. 12th and J Street, in Tacoma, Washington, on Friday, October 26, at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at St. Mary's Cemetery in Missoula, Montana.
