Obituary Stanley Fairhurst On January 23, 2010 our Dad, Stanley James Fairhurst, died peacefully at home surrounded by his children. Born in Seattle, Dad was the sixth child of Cyril and Lucy Costello Fairhurst. He joins his dear wife Mary who died in 1999. During his early school years Dad lived in Tacoma. He worked and taught for many years at Gonzaga University. Dad's greatest joy was his family: Mary, Vince, Ann (John), Katy (Mark), Tori (Doug), Ken (Marcie), and Laura (Jim). His grandchildren range in age from 9 to 21. One granddaughter died at birth in 2005. Dad was loved by all who knew him. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 812 Bowker Street, Lacey. There will be a Rosary followed by the sharing of memories on Friday, 1/29 at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 1/30 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, friends might consider a gift to Guadalupe House, 1417 South G Street, Tacoma, 98405.
