Obituary Sister Daniel Therese Coyle, OSF 1925-2008 Sister Daniel Therese Coyle, OSF, died at St. Ann Convent, Tacoma on January 19. She was born in Dublin Ireland and lived there until she moved to Philadelphia to prepare for her Franciscan Religious Life. She spent 57 years of committed service to the young and the elderly. She ministered 36 years in the Baker Diocese as teacher and pastoral minister. Fourteen years were spent in Southern California as an elementary teacher. Sister Daniel was a creative teacher who made learning fun. As a pastoral minister she was empathetic and healing especially with the elderly. Sister was very accomplished in Irish craft making. She was known for her beautiful Erin sweaters which many friends wore with pride. She also supported her outreach through her crafts and contributed to those in need. In 2002 she transferred from St. Elizabeth Health Care Center in Baker, Oregon to ST. Ann Convent in Tacoma for prayer ministry. Sister had experienced chronic illness for many years and knew the meaning of suffering. She was able to bring this experience to her prayer ministry and often prayed for the peace and healing of all people in the world. The Sisters of St. Francis thank the Franciscan Medical Group and the Staff of St. Ann Convent for their compassionate professional care of Sister. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A.M. on January 24, 2008 at St. Ann Convent Chapel. Sister Daniel is survived by her sister Anne Coyle, her brother Patrick Coyle, and her sister-in-law Teresa Coyle all of Ireland, and by her Franciscan Family.
