Obituary Sister Margaret Hudon OSF. (Sister Patricia Francis) 1918-2010 Sister Margaret, a resident of St. Ann Convent, died on February 15th, 2010. She was a professed member of The Sisters of St. Francis for 70 years. She was born in Sandpoint, Idaho. Sister was educated in Idaho and Oregon; she received her Masters Degree at St. Martin's University in Olympia, WA. She is well known in Tacoma for providing the leadership as administrator for the construction of "the Tower" of St Joseph Medical Center in the early 70's. Sister also was an administrator of St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon. She spent her entire religious life devoted to healthcare and ministries of the Sisters of St. Francis. She served in the Archdiocese of Seattle and the Diocese of Baker. Sister was an active member of the Hospital Financial Management Association, East Oregon Hospital Council, and Oregon Catholic Hospital Council. Before Sister Margaret retired at St. Ann Convent she resided in Pendleton, Oregon. She was very active in her local parish and provided leadership in the Catholic Daughters, the Choir, and Franciscan Companions. Upon retirement, she remained a life-long learner and enjoyed painting, music, history, and gardening. Her ministry continued through daily prayer for the Church and the World. She is survived by her Sisters in the Order of St. Francis and by nephews and nieces who live in Idaho, Washington and Alaska. All services will be held at St. Ann Convent at 6602 S. Alaska St. Tacoma. Vigil service will be 7:00 pm Thursday February 18th, and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am February 19th followed by Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
