Simone G. Conforti

Obituary Simone G. "Peggy" Conforti Simone was born on November 2, 1931 in Leominister, Massachusetts. She was one of ten siblings born to Arthur and Zelica Landry. She met and later married Gilbert N. "Gil" Conforti in November, 1957. They had 53 happy years together. She passed away on June 3, 2010 at Manor Care of Tacoma after having a hemorrhagic stroke in March. Peggy was a friend to everyone she ever met. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was the ultimate good neighbor. She enjoyed her grandchildren, puttering around in the yard and her beloved groups; the church coffee group, the birthday group, the card group, and the Friday night happy hour group. She was in her element when she was surrounded by her numerous friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Gil; her three sons and their wives; Mark, Stephen and Carolyn (Corey), James and Danielle (Hoddy); and her four grandchildren, Carmen, Cara, Leah and Carly. A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 14, 2010 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Lakewood. Rosary will be recited prior to Mass at 10:00 am. A private committal will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice in her name.
