Obituary Scott Jones, loving husband, father, son and friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 10, 2016 after battling cancer for three years. He has won his battle and is now in peace. He is survived by his loving wife Liz, his five beautiful daughters: Amanda, Emily, Rachael, Missy and Ashleigh. His mom and dad Harriet and Joe C. Jones Jr., his brother Curtis Jones, III; his in laws Gordon and Marlene Morrisette and his four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Bradley, Piper and Ryatt and many friends who loved him very much. Scott was born in Nashville, TN on September 28, 1964. He was an Interface Analyst with Multicare, co-owner of Northwest Swim Shop and MSGT (Ret.) U.S. Air Force. He is a graduate of Overton High School, Nashville, TN and Eastern Washington University, Cheney. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being at the ocean, reading a good book and, working in his yard. He also enjoyed playing the trumpet, martial arts, cheering at ballet recitals, swim meets or soccer games and the many other activities his five girls did. He was our super hero and enjoyed the Avenger movies. He was a very loving, caring man who would give you the shirt off his back and help anyone he could. Through his battle he has touched many lives. His joyful, protective spirit extended to family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from noon-5pm at Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 Yakima Ave, Tacoma. A service celebrating Scott's life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1pm with reception to follow at Praise Covenant Church, 3501 S. Orchard Street. A private military burial with be on Monday, November 21, 2016. In memory of Scott, donations would be appreciated; some organizations he felt strongly about were the Oral Cancer Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project.
