Samuel Howard Scott

Obituary Samuel H. Scott Howard Howard Scott, 74, died August 20, 2009 in Des Moines. He was a graduate of Grays Harbor College and the University of Washington. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years from the U.S. Naval Reserve at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Howard worked for the Boeing Company in procurement and training, retiring after more than 30 years of service there. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2005 and is survived by sons: Kevin, Thailand and Keith (Claire), Tacoma, many nephews, nieces and cousins. The family wishes to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Judson Park Skilled Nursing Center for their truly compassionate care of Sam for the past three years. He considered it his home, the residents his family and the staff his friends. Through their compassion, his life was truly rich even at the end. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Tahoma National Cemetery.
