Obituary Ruth A. Neher Ruth A. Neher passed away on August 17, 2015 at the Village Senior Living. She was born Ruth A. Hickson in Minneapolis, MN on January 21, 1929. She attended Holy Angels High School, and traveled extensively with her sister Mimi. Ruth then settled in Tacoma, WA where she worked for several banks in the area. Ruth married Roy Neher and moved into the family home on ‘J' Street. She then went to work for Titus Will as their bookkeeper for many years. After her retirement, Ruth spent many years volunteering at Puget Sound Hospital as well as Holy Rosary Catholic School as a Teacher's Aide, Eucharistic Minister and many other roles and duties. She is survived by her brother, Patrick Hickson (Patty); nephew, Brian Dugan (Audrey); numerous grand-nieces and nephews; many cousins and awesome friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Neher; parents, Ruth and Roy Hickson; and sisters, Mimi French and Lila Dugan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (520 S. 30th St., Tacoma). The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 7:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel (1002 S. Yakima Ave, Tacoma), viewing prior beginning at 5:00pm. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
