Obituary Ruth Marian Collins 1917 ~ 2008 Ruth Collins, 90, passed away January 20, 2008 in Puyallup, WA. She was born October 30, 1917 in Tacoma, WA. Ruth graduated from Eatonville High School. She married Robert Collins and they made their home in Puyallup. Ruth was a sweet, gentle, and caring person. She loved God, her family and friends, animals and sports, especially golf, football and baseball. Ruth belonged to the Puyallup Eagles Women's Auxiliary and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Puyallup. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Collins, sister Elsie Connelly, and brother Fred Boyles. Ruth is survived by nieces Sr. Jude Connelly, Tacoma, Rosemary (Phil) Nordstrom, Eatonville, and nephew John (Barbara) Boyles, Puyallup, along with 5 grand nieces and nephews and 2 great grand nieces. Ruth's family would like to thank Dr. Diller for providing thoughtful health care to Ruth for many years and to the residents and staff of Meridian Hills Assisted Living for providing friendship and care during the last three years. A memorial service will be held at St. Ann's Convent at 6602 South Alaska St. Tacoma on Saturday January 26th at 11:00 am.
