Obituary Rosario Delgadillo passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was 83. She was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 7, 1933. She married Salvador Delgadillo on May 1, 1960, in Guadalajara, at La Iglesia de Perpetuo Socorro Rosario was very active in the Catholic community, starting with St Charles Borromeo in San Francisco, and continuing in Tacoma when she moved here with her family in 1978. She was instrumental in the growth of the Tacoma Hispanic Catholic Community. She was determined to ensure that her family was surrounded by the Catholic faith. She welcomed all who entered her home and treated them as family. She had a way to make everyone feel welcome and loved. She had a firm hand and a soft heart. To her grandchildren, she was "Guella"; to everyone else, she was "Chayo". Most importantly, she was "Mi Alma" to her husband. Rosario is survived by Salvador, her husband of 57 years, by 8 kids: Gabi (Martin) Fragoso, Agueda Delgadillo, Ignacio (Michelle) Delgadillo, Rocio (Cande) Avalos, Paty Delgadillo, Luis Delgadillo, Esteban (Jennifer) Delgadillo and Rosario "Nina" Delgadillo, 13 grandchildren, a grandson-in-law, 4 sisters and a sister-in-law. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. There will be a rosary in her honor on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 7pm, Gaffney Funeral Home, 1002 Yakima Ave, Tacoma. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 2018, 11am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4520 McKinley Ave, Tacoma. Flowers may be sent to Gaffney Funeral Home in Tacoma
