Obituary Robert Miles Purcell Robert Miles Purcell, age 78, passed away on December 17, 2009. He was born July 18, 1931 in Dobbs Ferry, New York to Eve and Jefferson Purcell. After one year at Columbia University, where he was a member of the rowing team, he left school to join the National Guard. Shortly thereafter he joined the Air Force and then transferred to the Army. While stationed at Ft. Lewis he met his wife Patricia Cade. They were married 47 years when she passed away in 2002. Bob finished his college education at the University of Puget Sound in 1960. He was a computer operations manager for the State of Washington until his retirement in 1992. Bob also taught computer skills classes at Clover-Park Vocational Technical Institute. In addition to his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Joan E. Jolly. He is survived by his brother Jefferson Leo Thomas Purcell III (Dana) and his children Margaret (Gilbert Goldberg), Debra, Anne and Jeffery Purcell as well as his beloved grandchildren, Daniel and James Goldberg and Jeffery, Robert and Michael Cink.
