Robert Henry Doyea (Rob/Bob) passed away at the UW Medical Center, after a two-month battle with leukemia (AML). He was 63.
He was born in Goldendale, WA and moved to Tacoma, WA in 1969. He graduated from Wilson High School and went on to have a 25-year career with Boeing. He took early retirement in 2015, sold his house in Tacoma and moved to his lake property to fulfill his dream.
Robert is survived by his son, Adam, sisters: Priscilla Wolfe (Jack), Shirley Benoit (James), Sharon Doyea Newberry (Mick), Marie Doyea, Roberta Doyea, best friend & brother, Bryan Doyea (Carrie) and 30 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Harry Doyea, his mother, Vivian Doyea, and his brother, Roger Doyea.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11th, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the VFW, 4741 N. Baltimore St, Tacoma, WA. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetary, Yakima, WA at a later date.
