Obituary ROBERT WILLIAM DENOMY Gone on his final flight with the Angels is retired Air Force Colonel, former Airbase Commander and pilot, Bob Denomy, who passed away peacefully last Sunday. Bob was born in St. Clair Michigan in 1922 and proudly served this country with honor and distinction in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the military in 1969, Bob was the Director of Career Services at UPS until 1978, where he also earned a Masters Degree in Business. In 1991, he became Executive Director of PNPMA and upon in his "second" retirement, was honored with an endowed college scholarship in his name. His heartfelt devotion to the Tacoma community was expressed in extensive volunteer work with United Way, Kiwanis and the Red Cross. Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Charlotte Jean, their two children Robert of Tacoma, his son Braden, and Donelda (Curren) of Boulder Colorado, her husband Tom and son Rob. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church this Friday, July 31, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. A life celebration is scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
