Obituary Robert William Busha was born November 1, 1924 (All Saints Day) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was the youngest of child of Edward and Mary Busha and had 7 siblings. He possessed an adventurous spirit and hitch-hiked around the country with friends as a young boy. He joined the Army Rangers in WWII and served his country with honor ?" eventually getting wounded in France. He was proud of being one of only 1500 soldiers who participated in all three major invasions during that war. After recovering from his injuries, his first job was with Cook and Brown Electric Company. He later moved his family to Torrance California, working for Harvey's Aluminum. After retiring, he married his beloved Nellie and joined her in his adopted state, Washington. They had 37 special years together. He enjoyed planting flowers (doing ‘God's work' as he used to call it), landscaping, carpentry and other projects to help out family, friends and neighbors. He was proud to help beautify his beloved cities of Tacoma, Fife and Browns' Point. "I've had a wonderful life", he always used to say ?" "I'm a lucky man." He is survived by 6 children, Robert Busha, Susan Busha Howe, Steven Busha, Amelia Busha Wilson, Christopher Busha and Angelia Busha Council, 14 grandchildren, countless great-grandchildren and even his first great-great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 10:30 am at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel, 1002 So. Yakima Ave. Tacoma. Robert will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington. The family wishes to thank the Franciscan Hospice Care for their wonderful assistance during his final two months.
