Obituary Robert Lee Burton Robert Lee Burton "Bob", a lifelong north-end Tacoma resident passed into his Lord's presence at his home May 10th surrounded with the comfort of his family. Bob attended St. Patrick School, Marymount Academy, graduated from Bellarmine and attended Seattle University. He was pondering the priesthood before he met his wife of nearly 50 years, Jeannette Elaine Bozung. He grew up in St. Patrick's Parish receiving all his sacraments from Baptism to Marriage, and was active as a Eucharistic Minister, until a stroke prevented him from continuing to serve. Early in his career Bob worked for Northwestern Drug Company, he retired from Standard Paper and along with his wife operated Burton's Photography for over 20 years. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, council #809, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Tacoma Elks Lodge #174, the Jay Cee's, the Old Tennis Gang and a board member of the North 30th Street Traffic Calming Committee. In 1969 he was selected as one of the Outstanding Young Men in America. Bob will be remembered for his story telling and sense of humor. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Martha, son Gifford, and sister Mary Ann Norton. He is survived by his wife Jeannette; sons, Christopher and Raymond, daughter, Theresa Yates, son in law, Terry Yates, grandsons, Trevor, Troy and Tony Yates and Dolan Burton. He is also survived by his sister Betty (Don) Dailey and a large extended family that includes many brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 19, 2007 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 18, 2007 7:00 pm in the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
