Obituary Robert Rudolph Burich "Bob" Bob, a lifelong resident of Tacoma, peacefully passed away on December 4, 2005 at the age of 80, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the FAA as a radar maintenance supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline Burich, sister Hildegard Byrne and brother John J. Burich. He is survived by Donna, his wife of 55 years, daughters Dianne McLean (Dennis), Debbie Fitzgerald (Carl) and Denise Smith; three grandchildren: Danielle, Lora and Joshua; 3 month old great-grandchild Trescott, sister Madeline Eltrich (Frank) and numerous loving nephews, nieces and friends. Bob enjoyed building and remodeling, bird watching, drawing and playing "old tunes" and a lot of "made-up" tunes on his guitar with his brother. He loved ocean beaches, hoping for a major storm while he was there. We would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses at the University of Washington, Hospice and Multicare for the long term care provided to him, giving us more time to share life with him. We love you Bob, Dad, Grandpa and PaPa. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 10, 2005 1:00pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
