R.Nancy Elling

Obituary Nancy Elling, 87, passed away peacefully at home with her sister Margaret at her side, on Friday, May 4, 2018. Nancy was born in Tacoma on June 5, 1930. She was a secretary for the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, retiring after 25 years of service. Nancy enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading, especially history. She also enjoyed baking (her pies were very good) and walking. Nancy loved animals, especially her cats and provided a comfortable home for them. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Charles Elling, step-son Roger, nephew Phillip Elling; parents, John and Mary Pinchak and brothers John Jr. and George (Jean); sisters Kay (Ray) Mulholland, Mary Allen, and Ann Pinchak. She is survived by her sister Margaret Pinchak, nephews Tim Pinchak, Rev. David Mulholland, Bruce (Linda) Mulholland, Rodney (Janet) Elling, Robert (Soon) Elling, Charles (Kelli) Pinchak and nieces Jennifer Pinchak and Janis (Scott) Fox, as well as many cousins in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. A private family Funeral Mass was held at Saint Rita Parish. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Saint Rita Parish, 1403 So. Ainsworth, Tacoma, WA 98405.
