Obituary Rita R. Pantley died suddenly after a short battle with cancer. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Rita was the binding that held together three generations of her family. From her kitchen table she mentored and taught many of the next generation of family members. She loved to cook and was the inspiration for Balsano's Restaurant. For many years Rita was a Para-Professional in the reading program for Tacoma public Schools, and taught many of the younger family members to read. Rita is survived by her children; Anthony (Cecilia Hogan), Tacoma, Thomas (Cynthia) Tacoma, Rosemary (John) Dolan, Seattle; sisters, Louise Church, Puyallup, Clara (Ed) Greer, Tacoma; grandsons, Anthony E. Pantley, Jamison E. Pantley and a large extended family that includes, Michael (Patti) Church, Martin (Anastasia) Church and Giovanna, Chris (Mike) Johnson and Blake, Susie Jensen and Alyssa and Brynn. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 8, 2006, 10:00 am All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses on the oncology floor at Tacoma General and the Staff of Franciscan Hospice House for their care and support over the last few weeks.
