Obituary Richard Thomas Zydek Richard was born in Enumclaw, WA on May 19, 1915, and passed away in Tacoma, WA on Jan. 2, 2011. He graduated from Enumclaw High School and was in the Marines in China from 1934-1935. He was President of Fick Foundry for many years and retired at age 57. Richard loved to travel to Mexico and Hawaii and his beach. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, making projects in his workshop, making Polish sausage and sauerkraut was his favorite! He is survived by his wife Kay Zydek of 72 years, his only child Kathleen Reder (James), 2 granddaughters Lynne Reder and Gwen Nyman (Jeff), 4 great-grandchildren Jordan Thurston, Cammie Thurston, Aidia Nyman, and Leo Nyman. We want to thank The Weatherly Inn for all their care and love to Richard. There will be no service. The family will take his remains to the beach he has always loved.
