Obituary Dick Powers 1/23/34 - 12/19/11 O Captain! My Captain! The tugboat has set sail. Dick Powers surrounded by his loved ones died the morning of December 19th- a graceful and peaceful passage. Surviving Dick are his 4 children Jennifer Ryan (husband Phil), Keith Powers (partner Luca), Heather Powers, and Julia Powers. He will be missed by his 4 grandchildren Simon and Lucy Meske and Philip and Olivia Ryan. His four legged girlfriend Polly of Yorkshire fame will miss him too. Dick will be spending Christmas in heaven with his beloved Barbara. His death exemplified his motto in life... "live simply and always be grateful for the love and friendship life bestows on you; and, always remember to cuddle." .... Words, treasured and witnessed in his St. Leo's community. A Vigil and shared stories will begin at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 26th and the celebration Mass of Dick's life at 12:10 PM, Tuesday, December 27th.
