Reynold Oenning

Obituary Rey Oenning, 87, died 4/1/05. He was born and raised in Uniontown, Washington and moved to Tacoma 49 years ago with his family. He and his deceased wife Gen shared a wonderful 64-year marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved to be involved with his family whether it was remodeling a home, landscaping a yard, attending a family gathering, or bowling on Sundays. Rey was an active member of his parish church all of his life. Rey is survived by children, Connie Underwood, Diane Kelly, Gerry (Marty), Tom (Donna), Vic (Vicki), Larry (Teri), a sister Emaline Doane, and brother Joe Oenning. Rey & Gen had 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. It was Rey's wish that memorials be made to St. Boniface Parish School, PO Box 108, Colton, WA 99113. The family extends their thanks to the staff at University Place Care Center for giving their father wonderful care and comfort during his stay there. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 8, 2005, 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Thursday, April 7, 2005, 7:00 pm at the Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel.
