Obituary Reed Ellis Rudin was born January 16, 1929, in California, and passed away in Tacoma on April 25, 2019, at age 90. Reed was predeceased in death by his parents, son, and step daughter. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Audrey Rudin, and children Clay Rudin, Rick Hitt, Eldin Lougee, Judy Sutton, Melinda Walter, and Larry Rudin. He was blessed with several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Reed E Rudin and Audrey S Hitt (Hayden) were married on June 29, 1959 and they remained loyal companions ever since. June 29, 2019 would mark their 60th Anniversary. Reed was a decorated WWII Veteran, having served in the US Navy. He joined the Navy at the young age of 13, serving from 1942- 1946. Reed returned to school after he was discharged and received his GED. He also studied music and his love for guitar. He was baptized in 1975 as a Jehovah's witness. He is best known for his love of Jehovah, love for his family, his quick witted sense of humor and his strong competitive nature. He enjoyed a good game of chess, checkers, darts, ping pong, shuffleboard and bowling. Reed spent time as a blacksmith, crane operator, welder, shop foreman, and small business owner.
