Obituary Ralph Michael Baldasare Ralph Michael Baldasare was born in Tacoma on December 4, 1926. He joined the Navy at the age of 17, and fought bravely. Ralph was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries occurred while serving his country. He was an astute business man and founded South Side Motors Inc. with his brother Phil. He continued participating in its operation with his son Michael and a great crew that included his grandson Mike. South Side was a large part of Ralph's life and the people there were friends. He shared his life and love with his companion Evelyn Wolfe and they enjoyed golf and had many friends at Oakbrook Country Club. He treasured his mornings with the folks at LeDonut and Burs restaurant, as well as the mall walkers which often included his sister Mary, his brother Joe (Jay) and sister-in-law, Cecilia. He was a member of the Elks, and the Tacoma Yacht Club. Ralph enjoyed fishing with his buddy Cheing and his son Chris. He was a wonderful father-in-law to Gale. Ralph was charming, generous, loving and witty, and did his very best to enjoy each day to the fullest. He loved people. Ralph never met a stranger and valued friends. His family would like to thank all of the people who enriched Ralph's life. He passed with dignity and surrounded by love, at St. Joseph's Hospital on March 28, 2007. He is survived by Evelyn Wolfe, sons, Michael & Chris, brother, Joe "Jay" Baldassari, sisters Mary "Phyllis" Dennison & Frances "Babe" Gilletti, daughter-in-law Gale, sister-in-law, Cecilia, brother-in-law Joe, grandson Mike, granddaughters Rebecca and Jessie, nieces and nephews, Dayton "Buddy" & Marilyn, Joanie & Dennis, Francie & Gary, Jack & Cynthia, as well as his step-children Chris and Kim. He was proud of his Italian heritage, loved many other nieces, nephews and cousins, and was loved in return. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ralph's name to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.
