Obituary Peter Dempsey "Born in Tacoma on June 29, 1920, Peter Dempsey passed away one day before his 88th birthday. A Bellarmine graduate, he went on to attend College of Puget Sound and St. Martin's College, followed by twenty years of a distinguished military career, including honored service as an ace fighter pilot in World War II and retirement at the rank of Major. He rounded out his carrier with 20 years service as an Air Traffic Controller. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary, four children, Peter, Paul, Christopher and Mari, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His one of a kind sense of humor and personality are irreplaceable and will be sorely missed. A Rosary will be recited Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10:00 am; the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church in Steilacoom, WA; with a reception to follow at St. John Bosco Catholic Church at 12:00 pm in Lakewood, WA.
