Obituary Pauline "Polly" A. Nome 1920 ~ 2008 The polka party in heaven was in full swing after Polly arrived. She passed away on July 13, 2008 at University Place Care Center, with her beloved husband Bill, by her side. Born on 12/1/1920 in Allentown, PA the fourth of 10 siblings. She spent most of her adult life in Washington. Loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother, Polly was happiest traveling to family gatherings while listening to her cherished polkas. Known affectionately as Bubba or the Bubs, she was preceded in death by her son Rich, eight of her brothers and sisters, and her parents. Polly is survived by her husband Bill, sister Katherine Columbo of Tom's River, New Jersey, daughter Peggy (Ed) Novak and son Jim Swan. She was a loving grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren; Amy and Matt Novak, Katie, Matt and Ryan Swan and Will Swan who will miss her deeply. She was a favorite aunt to her east coast nieces and nephews: Kathy (John) Vermitsky, Paul (Mary Ann) Krug Jr., Matthew Krug, Steve (Joan) Piontek, Barbara Piontek and Steve (Elaine) Pacholek. Her warm smile, enthusiastic sense of humor and generous nature will be missed by all. Some people come into our lives and quietly go. Others stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. Bubs, we will never be the same. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 18, 2008, 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Lakewood, WA. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 17, 2008, 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home 1002 S.
