Obituary Paul Edwin LeRoy 17 March 1930 ?" 15 April 2008 Professor Emeritus, Historian Africanist Egyptologist. Graduated BA with honors U. of Conn, MA and PhD Ohio State. Recipient of member of scholarship especially The Fulbright Grant to Australia. Member of Army Service with late twin brother 1953-56, seeing service in Germany. Served History Department at C.W.U. Ellensburg 1961-96. Retired to live with twin brother Perry and sister-in-law Elyzabeth. Lecturer on Africa-Ethiopia and frequently for ancient Egyptian for the A.E.S.A. and for the ARCE/N.W. Chapter presented at Seattle Art Museum, Portland and elsewhere on Mummies, Pyramids, Valley of the Kings. Member of board of Ancient Egypt Studies Association and of local N.W. Chapter of American Research Center Egypt. Published member of articles on Ancient Egypt but also on Criminology-the Emancipated Convicts of Australia. One of several co-sponsors of excavations under Dr. Otto Schaden Valley of the Kings Tomb VK#10 Amenmesse 19th Dynasty. Promoter of several academic scholarships Brown University Providence RI, C.W.U. History Ellensburg, Hebrew-Jewish Studies Temple Beth El and Ancient Egypt UW School of Near Eastern languages and civilization. Survived by Elizabeth LeRoy and a number of cousins. Recent link as a co-sponsor to KV63 Tomb Valley of the Kings, excavator Dr. Otto Schaden U. of Memphis, first intact tomb found in the Valley of the Kings since King Tut 1922.
