Obituary 12/28/54 ?" 1/30/09 Pat's unquestioning faith and determination gave him immeasurable strength to battle cancer with dignity, humor, and immense concern for his loved ones and caregivers. After that courageous 10 month battle he went on to embrace eternal life and joined his father and mother, Bob and Shirley who preceded him. His wife and soulmate Bernie, daughter Kelsey, son Marcus, sister Susie, her husband John and Patches, his dog and faithful bedmate were at his side. Born in Tacoma, WA Pat, an exceptionally gifted athlete graduated from Bellarmine where he excelled in football, track and basketball. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from U of Denver. Due to Pat's unmatched people skills, Pat enjoyed a successful career in sales. His passion for sports made ESPN his channel of choice. He lived life to the fullest, always the social director. Pat also loved music and dancing. Thanks to Bob and Jack at the Swiss for making it his home away from home. Along with his beloved wife and children, Pat is also survived by his stepchildren, Grace and Griffin, grandson Teagan, siblings Ron (Calli), Judy(Emmett),John(Kathy),Susie(John), Michael(Caroline),Tom(Anne),Tim (Tracey),Karen(Rob),Kevin(Kara), Jim(Amy)Jerry(Debbie) and an amazing array of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat had a radiant smile and wonderful sense of humor that connected him to hundreds of people who considered Pat one of their closest friends. We are forever grateful to so many dedicated and loving relatives and friends who surrounded Pat with an abundance of tenderness and love during his journey. We send our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Frank Senecal, St Joe's oncology staff, Franciscan hospice and friends and family all over the world who so generously offered an abundance of prayers. Services will be held at 11 AM, Sat Feb 14 at St. Leo's in Tacoma with a reception to follow at the Titlow Lodge in Tacoma. In lieu of flowers, Please offer donations to Franciscan Hospice.
