Obituary Patrick Comfort, 76, died December 9, 2006. He was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Bellarmine Prep, Gonzaga University and NYU, with a scholarship, to receive his law degree. Pat practiced law in Tacoma for many years. He was a past president of the Washington State Bar Association, a member and past president of the Fircrest Golf Club, served two terms in the Washington State Legislature and served on the Board of Trustees at Bellarmine. Pat was also a member of the Lions Club and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Pat is survived by his wife, Elena; children, Christopher, New York, Erin (Tom) Dobrinski, Puyallup, Sean (Shelley), Gig Harbor, Kathleen Simpson, Puyallup, Maureen (Michael) Metzger, Costa Rica; step-children, Stephen (Kathy), Steilacoom, Colin (Julie), Issaquah, Charles (Melanie), Edmonds, and Paul Elder, West Seattle. He is also survived by brothers, Robert and John Comfort; eight grandchildren and a large extended family of numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Entombment at Calvary Cloisters. The family suggests memorials to the Gertrude Connell Comfort Scholarship Fund at Bellarmine Prep.
